Thanksgiving Dinner Made Easy!

Let us do the baking for you!  Our made-from-scratch stuffing bread, dinner rolls and Pumpkin Oh's are sure to make your life easier and your guests come back for seconds!

Our whole grain stuffing bread, is full of everything you need for stuffing-chopped onion, celery, and a hint of sage.  Follow this simple recipe for a fool proof side to your Thanksgiving dinner:

GREAT HARVEST STUFFING RECIPE
• 12 -16 pound Turkey
• 1 loaf of Great Harvest Stuffing Bread
• 1 stick or ½ cup of Sweet Cream Butter
• 1½ - 2 cups Chicken Broth or water
reserved from giblets

Slice the loaf into 2" cubes and store in a brown paper bag for 3-4 days before preparing stuffing (or you can dry in the oven for 3 hours at
200º). Place cubes in a large bowl and add in 1 stick of butter that has
been cut into small pieces. Add enough chicken broth or giblet water to
moisten cubes. (Optional: add chopped walnuts or dried cranberries for
a mouth-watering feast.) Place stuffing inside of turkey cavity and
bake as normal.

Our Roll Recommendation; Soft, Buttery Virginia Rolls.Made with our fresh milled whole wheat flour, white flour, potato flakes and butter.  This soft yeast roll is so flavorful you can eat them without butter or jam.

We, however. like them with homemade Cranberry Sauce.  This recipe is so easy my kids make it each year.

THE WILLIAMS FAMILY CRANBERRY SAUCE
  • 1 bag fresh Cranberries (washed and drained)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup of cold water
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
Put all ingredients in a medium sauce pan.  Bring to a boil.  Boil rapidly until berries pop (about 5 minutes).  Mash with potato masher or wooden spoon.  Remove from heat and cool.
